Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC), the Philippine-based fast-food giant, announced on September 1 a strategic spinoff of all its assets outside the domestic market. According to KrASIA, the newly created entity will be listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange, marking a significant step in JFC's international expansion efforts.
Since its founding in the mid-1980s, Jollibee has grown to operate over 10,700 stores across 33 countries, managing 20 different brands. Of these, 557 stores are own-name outlets located overseas, highlighting the company’s broad geographic footprint beyond its home base.
For Japanese investors and market watchers, this move underscores the increasing regional integration of Asian consumer brands and the potential for cross-border listings to enhance capital access and visibility in key financial hubs like Hong Kong.
