Alibaba has announced the development of a new AI accelerator chip, the Zhenwu V900, which is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2027, according to KrASIA. This chip boasts three times the performance of its predecessor, the M890, featuring 216 gigabytes of memory and an impressive inter-chip bandwidth of 1,200 gigabytes per second.
Alongside this technological advancement, Alibaba has set a target to exceed 20 gigawatts of global data center capacity by 2032, signaling a major expansion in its infrastructure capabilities. The move highlights Alibaba’s commitment to scaling its cloud services and AI processing power.
