Chinese automaker BYD is actively building public test tracks across the country as part of its efforts to promote the brand and foster a car culture among consumers. These tracks offer drivers a hands-on experience with BYD vehicles, highlighting performance and driving enjoyment.

According to KrASIA, BYD’s Shaoxing automotive experience center in Zhejiang province features a 1.6-kilometer racetrack that includes five curves and a 550-meter straight acceleration section. This setup allows drivers to test the handling and acceleration capabilities of BYD’s latest models in a controlled environment.

For Japanese investors and market watchers, BYD’s move reflects a broader trend in China where automakers are investing in experiential marketing to boost domestic demand, a strategy that could influence competitive dynamics in the Asia-Pacific automotive sector.
