Ricursive Intelligence has released Ripple-65B Preview, a 65-billion-parameter open-weight language model that achieved the highest score among open-source U.S. models on the TerminalBench 2.1 coding benchmark, according to The Decoder.
The development of Ripple-65B Preview reportedly required $32 million in research and development costs. Despite its success on TerminalBench 2.1, The Decoder noted that Ripple-65B lags behind the newly launched western open model Inkling 2 Small on other benchmarks.
This advancement highlights the growing competitiveness in AI language models, a trend that Japanese markets closely monitor due to their increasing impact on FX, crypto, and equities trading strategies.
