OpenAI has launched its new Decisions API, designed to classify text and images approximately ten times faster than its previous Responses API, according to The Decoder. This API offers simplified output options such as yes/no probabilities, category selections, or scale ratings, making it more efficient for developers handling classification tasks.

The new API is priced at $0.10 per million input tokens, providing a clear and competitive cost structure. In addition, OpenAI has reduced its paid API tiers from five to three, streamlining its pricing model and potentially making it easier for users to choose the appropriate plan.

For Japanese markets, where rapid data processing and cost efficiency are crucial in FX, crypto, and equities trading, OpenAI’s enhanced API capabilities could support faster decision-making and analytics integration.
