Cylingo Group is evolving from its successful app to the home robotics market by embedding its emotional companionship technology into a robot, according to KrASIA. The company's app, Cece, launched in 2013, amassed over 60 million users by 2025 and generated nine-figure RMB annual revenue with more than a million daily users.

Founder and CEO Ren Yongliang made the strategic decision to transition the emotional companionship features from the app into a physical robot. Previously, Cylingo secured Series B funding from Tencent, supporting its growth and innovation efforts.

This move reflects broader trends in Japan and Asian markets where demand for home robotics and AI-driven companionship is rising, driven by aging populations and increasing interest in smart living solutions.
