Chinese electric vehicle maker Li Auto has reorganized its Mach chip and silicon carbide module operations into separate corporate entities. This move aims to better target external customers beyond its own vehicle production.
According to KrASIA, one of these spin-offs, Sike Semiconductor, is preparing to seek external capital to support its growth and development. This indicates Li Auto’s strategic push to strengthen its semiconductor capabilities and attract outside investment.
For Japanese markets, this restructuring highlights the growing importance of semiconductor innovation and supply chain diversification in the EV sector, which could influence regional chip demand and partnerships.
